Something Worse than Jinn and Magic

وَأَنَّهُ كَانَ رِجَالٌ مِّنَ الْإِنسِ يَعُوذُونَ بِرِجَالٍ مِّنَ الْجِنِّ فَزَادُوهُمْ رَهَقًا

(Qur’ān 72:06)

“Wa ‘Annahu Kāna Rijālun MinaAl-‘Insi Ya`ūdhūna Birijālin MinaAl-Jinni Fazādūhum Rahaqāan”

“And there were men from mankind who sought refuge in men from the jinn, so they [only] increased them in burden.” Sadaqa Llāhu l-‘Aẓīm.

We are talking about the relation between jinn and mankind. Somethings happen. There are certain group of people living in this time that when they see someone, they confuse him saying, “You have jinn. You have black magic upon you.” Not everyone can see them; they can’t be known. This rarely happens.

Of course, it’s very rare for jinn to interfere with people and enter them. But it can happen to be struck by them. Because, may Allāh ﷻ protect us, it can happen if one doesn’t ask permission saying “Dastur” while pouring water, performing ablution, going somewhere at night, or entering somewhere, throwing water or having ablution. It can happen sometimes in these cases.

But telling everyone you see, “You have black magic done to you, you have jinn”, will confuse people. And those who say so for personal benefit will have lied and it would be a sin upon them too. And because they confused the other person’s mind, they would also have another sin upon them.

What we are experiencing in the time we live in is worse than jinn. The people and situations around us cause people to leave the way, cause discord inside families, cause children to disobey and go against their families. These are not from jinn and not from black magic. It’s happening because of everything around us. May Allāh ﷻ protect us.

In the time we live in, there are thousands of jinns in the devices children hold in their hands. They are the real corrupters. The majority has been driven mad because of that thing. Because of this thing called technology. It causes evil worse than jinn and shayṭān. We must be careful of that.

Allāh ﷻ gave humans a brain and mind. And they too have a capacity. Everything must be done in moderation. Everything must be done according to the proper principles and procedures to attain salvation. If you put pressure on everything at once, that will also have an effect.

It’s easy to blame everything on black magic and jinn. You’ll be removing the blame from yourself. “What shall I do? Go let the hoca read for you.” Reading is of course good. But before the hoca, you must read on yourself at home. You must do what’s necessary. You must give sadaqah. Recite Ayatul Kursi and ikhlās. You can read them upon yourself.

For protection against all evil, envy, evil eye, jinn, black magic and whatever there is, a person should recite 7 times Ayatul Kursi every day and blow around himself. Before leaving the house, recite 3 times Ikhlās, and Al-Falaq and An-Nas. Recite them when entering the house.

Give salām when entering the house. Give salām when leaving the house. They will be a protection for you. They will also be a means of guidance for the others at home. There will be peace in the family, in shā’a Llāh.

This time, as we said, is a very difficult time. May Allāh ﷻ protect us. People, children and all have become different. They’ve all changed. There’s no adab left. There’s no respect left. No one listens to advice. Advice enters from one ear and leaves from the other. And when something bad happens to them, they don’t understand why it happened.

As we said, people will be protected from these matters through worship and du’ā’s, with Allāh’s ﷻ permission. People must do this. Everyone should surely give sadaqah, say salām and recite the ayāt as they leave and enter the house. A person will be protected by them, and it will be a protection for the other family members, in shā’a Llāh.

May Allāh ﷻ protect us all. May He ﷻ protect children. May He ﷻ protect us from the evil of shayṭān. Wa min Allah at-Tawfiq.

Al-Fatiha.
