By the name of Allah, All-Mighty, All-Merciful, Most Beneficent and Most Munificent.
Endless praise and thanks to Allah ﷻ, who is always granting to His servants from His endless favors.
These favors cannot be bought with money nor measured by dunya values. They are pure gifts from our Lord ﷻ to His weak servants. We are claiming nothing.
We can only say,
“O our Lord, we are Your weakest servants. We are ashamed to present anything from ourselves, for every act of worship is only through Your Will, by Your power, and by Your support.
If You leave us to our egos, nothing but evil and badness will appear.
Forgive us, O our Lord, and cover us with Your Mercy.”
Allah Almighty knows the condition of His ﷻ servants. Angels are free, created only to glorify and praise their Lord ﷻ without opposition. They are giving the most beautiful praises, excellent praises, to their Lord ﷻ. They are created for that, and they are free for that purpose alone.
They have no ego, no hunger, no sleep, no distractions. Yet we have been given all these and still we are worshipping. That is why one sajdah from a sincere servant of Allah ﷻ may be more precious than all the worship of the angels.
The children of Adam (AS) are surrounded by their nafs, trapped by dunya, and at the same time attacked by shaytan and his armies from every side. We are in a difficult position.
Therefore, when we present something, Allah Almighty knows that we are presenting our respects to His Divine Presence under such difficult conditions.
Allah Almighty shows the angels and says, “Look at My servants. Surrounded by desires, occupied by dunya, pulled by shaytan, yet still they are worshipping, still they are praying, still they are fasting, still they are remembering Me. Look!”
Yes, He ﷻ grants honor to the nation of Muhammad ﷺ. To be from his ﷺ ummah is itself an honor beyond measure.
Allah Almighty is the One who gives endlessly. He ﷻ has endless Mercy Oceans, endless Treasure Oceans, endless Oceans of Beauty and of Power, endless Oceans of Peace, Satisfaction, and Pleasure. All of these are divine grants for His ﷻ servants.
Therefore, Paradise is endless. In Paradise, you will find His ﷻ endless favors, His ﷻ endless lights, His ﷻ endless peace and happiness. You are going to find everything that you can desire in Paradise, endlessly! These are the good tidings for the sons of Adam (AS).
And you are not going to be nothing. As He ﷻ is in existence from pre-eternity to post-eternity, He ﷻ grants you to exist forever in Jannah, with eternal life, eternal honor, and eternal closeness.
O mumins and muminahs, you must think, for such endless favors as our Lord Almighty is granting us, what is their value. What is the value of such endless favors?
If you buy only a hut here in London, you will be a slave to a mortgage throughout your life. You will work to pay a mortgage for a small hut, and in a poor locality as well.
Then what about an eternal Paradise, a home for yourself forever? You work hard, you and your wife, from morning to night, from night to daybreak, and you say, “We are paying a mortgage on a hut.” Then what about Paradise?
Do you ever think of paying the mortgage for your eternal home? We may say that if people believe, they will be hard workers, more than ourselves. But now I see that we are so lazy in working for our mortgage in Akhirah, in the Eternal Life.
Therefore, we must know the value of Paradise and of Eternal Life, and we must give more time for our Lord ﷻ’s service.
Otherwise, on the Day of Resurrection, when He ﷻ shows us His ﷻ endless favors, we will be covered with shame. When He ﷻ gives from His endless favors, such shame will come upon people that everyone will wish to disappear from the Divine Presence.
O mumins and muminahs, give more time for your Lord ﷻ‘s service, for your Paradise mortgage. Add a little more, even a little more, to your service.
We think about giving, but our egos are not letting us give more. It will say, “Serve me, work for me, live only for me, I will accept no partner.” Our ego is terrible! Therefore, do not let your ego command you or carry you as it likes.
You must ask for divine support to fight and to defeat your bad ego, bringing it under your Lord ﷻ‘s service. Your nafs was given to you only to serve your Lord ﷻ, not to be your master.
But people are receiving the horse of the king yet not receiving the king himself. They welcome the donkey but neglect the noble guest who rides upon it.
We are accepting the horse, meaning our nafs, but turning away from the noble guest given by our Lord Almighty, our soul. We are putting the donkey on the throne and placing the guest in the stable!
That is upside down! You must honor the soul, and put the ego in its right place as a servant.
This is a lesson not only for Muslims, but for all who believe in God, in His Prophets, and in His Holy books. Whoever hears may take strength, may take pleasure, may take support from their Lord.
O people, begin paying the mortgage of your Akhirah. Add little by little to the service of your Lord ﷻ each day, for each action builds your eternal home.
May Allah ﷻ keep us under His endless favors and not leave us to our egos.
May He ﷻ grant us to honor our souls, to give more time for His service, and to reach the eternal honor and endless mercy of Paradise.
Al-Fatiha.

This series was initiated by the SufiHub Team in honour of the 2nd Urs of our beloved Sheikh, the late Sheikh Muhammad Abdul Sattar Khan, who lovingly dedicated himself to transcribing and summarising the daily sohbahs of Mawlana Sheikh Nazimق.
It was through this blessed service that he began his journey on this beautiful Way in 2008, remaining steadfast upon it until his final breath in 2023. Today, his legacy continues at our Zawiyah at A’Posh Bizhub Singapore through his representatives Sidi Shalihin, Ismail, and Syed Muhammad, who humbly carry forward the path he sincerely paved.
We pray that our dear Sheikh Abdul Sattar has been reunited with his beloved Mawlana Sheikh Nazimق and all our Grandshaykhs, and that their light continues to guide us always on the way of Haqq.
The text was originally taken from Liberating the Soul – A Guide for Spiritual Growth by Shaykh Nazim Adil al-Haqqaniق. With love and sincere intention, parts of this sohbah have been gently revised by the SufiHub Team for clarity and contextual relevance.
If you wish to share it on your platforms, kindly post it in full and ensure that proper credit is given to all its sources. For this is adab, the very core of our beautiful religion and way.
