Nothing Outside His ﷻ Will

Bismi Llāhi r-Raḥmāni r-Raḥīm

Al-ḥamdu liLlāh wa shukru liLlāh. No matter how much shukr we make to Allāh ﷻ and praise Him ﷻ, it is not enough. Our shukr must be endless for being created as ummatī Muḥammad ﷺ, as ummah of our Holy Prophet ﷺ. We must make shukr in every breath and praise Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla.

Our gratitude is endless for being created in this beautiful ummah and being given this favour. Mu’mins must know this. Also those in ṭarīqah, especially they must know this thing before all, that being from ummah of our Holy Prophet ṣallá Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam, being on the way of Allāh ﷻ, following the beloved servants of Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla is the greatest favour.

Certainly, if you ask people about the situation of the world now, all people say they haven’t seen anything worse. Regarding this world, Mawlānā Shaykh Nāẓim used to say, every coming day is worse than today. It means the situation of the world is not good. It is not nice from the aspect of dunyā.

Our Holy Prophet ṣallá Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam said it is the time of fitnah about this time. This time is the time of fitnah. But for believers, it is the best time. “How is it good among so much oppression, among so many things?”Because Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla wanted it so.

We can’t interfere in Allāh’s ﷻ work. We can’t question His ﷻ wisdom. Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla can’t be questioned. “Why did You do so?” There are many idiots who ask this. They question, “So many people die here, so much oppression is made there. Why did Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla let this?”

What you say is the biggest kufr if you judge according to normal Islāmic rules. May Allāh ﷻ protect us. Because astaghfiru Llāh, you question Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla like a normal Sulṭān, like a president or a ruler. “Why are they oppressing?” Everything happens by the will of Allāh ﷻ. Nothing happens outside His ﷻ will.

Therefore, as we said, Muslims must not object. They must make shukr to Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla. They mustn’t interfere in His ﷻ work. And it is not good to say, “He did this, that will be his punishment. He did that, this will be his reward.” You shouldn’t interfere in the work of Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla.

You must deal with yourself and your own ego. And don’t interfere in other things. Other things happen with the will of Allāh ﷻ. We live in the end of times. This is the manifestation of the end of times. You must believe in this. You will be at peace, and Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla will be pleased with you.

Certainly, we don’t approve oppression. We can’t show approval of any oppression that is made. But we can’t interfere in Allāh’s ﷻ will. Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla does what He ﷻ wants, and doesn’t do what He ﷻ doesn’t want. No one can interfere in His ﷻ will. No one can change His ﷻ will.

Therefore, mu’mins must know this. They must be grateful for their situation so that Allāh ﷻ makes them steadfast.

If a person speaks with such thought… Even this thought is not good. But it is alright. If a person thinks about something or has waswasa, it is not important as long as he doesn’t say, “if only it was like this and like that.” Shayṭān’s work remains inside then. It has no ruling.

But if they come out and confuse people’s minds by saying, “Why is it like this and not like that? Why is there oppression?” everything has its time. ‘وَالْعَاقِبَةُ لِلْمُتَّقِينَ’, ‘Wa l-Ā’qibatu Lil Muttaqīn’, ‘And the [best] end is for the pious.’ (Qur’ān 28:83). The end is for the pious ones.

We must know it. We must wait for it. Nothing goes without account. Everything will be accounted to the smallest detail.

‘وَمَنْ يَعْمَلْ مِثْقَالَ ذَرَّةٍ شَرًّا يَرَهُ (7) فَمَنْ يَعْمَلْ مِثْقَالَ ذَرَّةٍ خَيْرًا يَرَهُ ’, ‘Faman Ya’mal Mithqāla Dharratin Khayrāan Yarah (7) Wa Man Ya’mal Mithqāla Dharratin Sharrāan Yarah (8)’, ‘So whoever does an atom’s weight of good will see it (7) And whoever does an atom’s weight of evil will see it (8).’ (Qur’ān 99:07-08).

If one does even a mithqāl worth of goodness, he will have its reward. If he does as little as an atom of badness or oppression, he will be punished for that unless he repents.

Therefore, mu’mins must be on the way of our Holy Prophet ﷺ. They must know his ﷺ value. Who knows his ﷺ value will be in profit. Who doesn’t know will have lived as weed and be gone as weed, as they say. He will lose his life without gaining anything.

They say one lost his life. It is a new trendy word. It suits some people perfectly. And it doesn’t suit others. Who loses his life, who lives an empty life in this world by playing and having fun, making friends and doing useless things and useless deeds, he thinks he attains many things. He will lose all his life.

May Allāh ﷻ protect us. May we know the value of our lives, in shā’a Llāh. Wa min Allah at-Tawfiq.

Al-Fatiha.
