No Foreignness in Our Dergahs

Bismi Llāhi r-Raḥmāni r-Raḥīm

May Allāh ﷻ make these gatherings a means for goodness. These are gatherings that Allāh ﷻ loves. One of the brothers was asking, “How were those countries? Which place did you love more?”

We said, Shukr to Allāh ﷻ, wherever we go, the dergahs are unaffected by the worldly preoccupations, its goodness, its evil. We don’t feel as strangers. It’s the same wherever we go, shukr to Allāh ﷻ.

That beautiful gathering is the same everywhere. Because it is the gathering of our Prophet ṣallá Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam. It is done with sincerity. People made it with sincerity. All our dergahs are the same; whether in the richest country in the world or in the poorest. There is no difference; we don’t feel any foreignness.

“How do you manage and so?” Shukr to Allāh ﷻ, we go from one place to another; it is the same. That manifestation, that beauty, is the same. That’s why, we’ve traveled to the other end of the world, and back again, there is no foreignness.

How many places have we traveled for the sake of Allāh ﷻ? How many places have we visited? Whether it’s a journey, a trip, long or short, we never feel strange, shukr to Allāh ﷻ. Because what’s important is being with Allāh ﷻ, being on the way of Allāh ﷻ.

When not on the way of Allāh ﷻ, it’s like, “Let’s go here, let’s go there, let’s do something.” We embark on a journey for the sake of Allāh ﷻ. With the brothers and their sincerity, there’s no foreignness, no hardship, with Allāh’s ﷻ permission.

Therefore, be with Allāh ﷻ, and our journey will be easy. Everyone is a traveler, and the path leads to the hereafter. May that path be beautiful, in shā’a Llāh. May it not be filled with evil.

We should see others and feel sorry for them, not shame them, “I am like this, I am on this path, others are on a different, opposite path.” That is Allāh’s ﷻ decree for them. They are poor people. May Allāh ﷻ guide them too.

May they not go astray. May they find this beautiful way. May they not go in the opposite direction. He who goes in the opposite direction will not reach anywhere. It will be difficult for him every time. No matter how hard he strives, there will never be any ease.

May Allāh ﷻ protect the children, youth and Ummati Muhammad ﷺ from the evil of shayṭān. Shayṭān’s evil is great these days. That is, while a person is on the right way, he might lead him astray. May Allāh ﷻ protect us. Wa min Allah at-Tawfiq.
