Know Your Limits

A‘ūdhu BiLlāhi Minash-shayṭāni r-rajīm. BismiLlāhi r-Raḥmāni r-Raḥīm.

Bismi Llāhi r-Raḥmāni r-Raḥīm:

إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَىْءٍ قَدِيرٌ

(Qur’ān 02:20).

‘’Inna Llāha Aa’la Kulli Shay’in Qadīr”

‘’Certainly, Allah has power over all things.’‘ The Power of Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla has no boundaries or limits. Therefore, people’s mind is weak next to His ﷻ power. Some people ask, “Why is this like this? How does this happen? Why is there so much oppression in this world? Why is Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla not helping them?” Everything is by the will of Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla and His ﷻ power.

It is from Iman for Mu’mins and Muslims to believe in everything from Allah ﷻ. It is our duty to believe in the Greatness and Superiority of Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla. If we do so, we’ll be at rest. Otherwise, when you can’t do your own job right, Ḥāshā (far from it), are you going to interfere in the job of Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla?

Many people are being ignorant without realizing. They are ignorant, but they think they are clever. So many millions and billions of people have come and gone. Muslims and Mu’mins have come and gone. Are you so clever now to dogmatize? People must know their limits. Knowing your limit is a great virtue, great goodness. People who don’t know their limits always find something which is not good.

There is a saying among people in this world that a person who doesn’t know his limits will be shown his limits. So certainly, Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla is capable of showing people their limits. There is no doubt in that. But Waswasa comes to people. As long as that Waswasa doesn’t come out, it is ok. But if it comes out and people say, “This is like this and like that” to others, Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla will show them their limits unless they repent. They will regret doing that.

The Greatness of Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla has no limits and boundaries. Don’t open your mouth to say, “Why is this like this and like that?” regarding anything from Him ﷻ and keep your Waswasa to yourself. Everyone has Waswasa, Allah ﷻ will protect them. But when it comes out, people will be punished unless they repent. May Allah ﷻ protect us from Waswasa. May Allah ﷻ protect us from going beyond our limits.

Wa min Allah at-Tawfiq. Al-Fatiha.
