How to Stay Steadfast on the Right Way

Bismi Llāhi r-Raḥmāni r-Raḥīm

Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla created people in various forms, He ﷻ says in Qur’ān ‘Aẓīmu sh-Sha’n. Those who are most beloved and acceptable to Allāh ﷻ are those who obey Allāh ﷻ. Those who obey Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla are the most acceptable people.

Race, color, and language are of no importance. What’s important is being on the way of Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla and obeying His ﷻ commands. And following that way correctly. You have entered that way, Allāh ﷻ has guided you, and you are in Islām but shayṭān will not let you go.

Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla is merciful and loves those who show mercy. But they act contrary to this. 

An accepted person is one who is on the way of Allah ﷻ, on the beautiful way shown by our Prophet ﷺ. This way is clear. Scholars, ulama, ‘awliyā, companions, and righteous people have all gone on this way. Those who stray from that way are destroyed.

Therefore, we must be careful. The most important thing, the first and most important matter of this way, is to honor our Prophet ṣallá Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam. Loving him ﷺ is number one. Loving him ﷺ means following our Prophet ṣallá Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam’s way, doing as he ﷺ did and emulating him ﷺ.

What was the most important thing about our Prophet ṣallá Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam? His ﷺ mercy. His ﷺ compassion. One of the companions, just as he was about to kill someone in battle, he said “I became Muslim.” He still killed him.

When our Prophet ṣallá Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam heard this, he ﷺ was deeply saddened. “Why did you do this?” he ﷺ asked. “This person feared death and recited the Shahadah. He said he is a Muslim, but he is a liar.”

“Did you open his heart or his chest to see if he has īmān or not?” said our Prophet ṣallá Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam. He repeated it again, a second and a third time. He was so sad that he repeated the same question over and over.

People these days, those who alienate people from religion, do not show mercy to everyone, but oppress them. They separate families and people from one another, alienating them from Islām. They are not on the way of our Holy ‎Prophet ﷺ.

The most important way, shukr to Allāh ﷻ, is the way of ṭarīqah. These are the people who follow the Sunnah, Sharī’ah and way of our Prophet ṣallá Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam.

May Allāh ﷻ make us steadfast on that way. May people come to that way, for this is a time of fitnah. They portray good as evil, and evil as good. They portray black as white, and white as black. There is every kind of deception.

Therefore, to avoid straying from that way, one must follow a Murshid. Any Murshid; it’s not that it must be us. It is important in this time to follow any Shaykh or Murshid of any ṭarīqah that is on the right way.

May Allāh ﷻ guide everyone. May they not stray from the right way and remain steadfast, in shā’a Llāh. Wa min Allah at-Tawfiq. Al-Fatiha.

There are recited Qur’an Khatms, Yasin, Surahs, Tasbihāt, Tahlilāt, Salawat, Dalail Al-Khayrāt and good deeds for the pleasure of Allāh ﷻ. We gift them all to our Prophet ṣallá Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam, all Anbiya, Awliya, Asfiya.

To the souls of our Mashayikh. To the souls of all our ancestors. To the souls of all Muslims and Mu’mins. For goodness to come and evil to be gone. For our strength of īmān. Li-Llahi Ta’āla.
