Listen to Sultanق’s Sohbah here:(4:11)
Read Sultanق’s Sohbah here:
Our Holy Prophet ṣallá Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam says,
“لَا يُؤْمِنُ أَحَدُكُمْ حَتَّى يكُونَ..”,
“Lā yu’minu aḥadukum ḥattá yakūn..”, “None of you believes till..” Aw kamā qāl (or as he ﷺ said.) [We’ll say] this ḥadīth in Turkish. When reading a ḥadīth, people must read it completely in Arabic. Therefore, let’s say it in Turkish. A person cannot have complete īmān when every action of his is not according to the pleasure of Allāh ﷻ. He must strive for it to ensure that Allāh ﷻ is pleased and to lead his life according to the pleasure of Allāh ﷻ.
Of course, people make mistakes and Allāh ﷻ forgives their mistakes. What Allāh ﷻ wants and what Allāh ﷻ loves is forgiving. This is it. The blessed word of our Holy Prophet ṣallá Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam says that we couldn’t do everything, we did wrong and made mistakes, so we must repent and ask forgiveness for Allāh ﷻ to be pleased. Then, this will be as Allāh ﷻ loves. Otherwise, we cannot do much. We cannot do the things that Allāh ﷻ orders 100%. We can hardly even do 1%.
Therefore, the important point here is to love that Allāh ﷻ is forgiving. Allāh ﷻ says He ﷻ will forgive people and believers. There is another ḥadīth sharīf which says that if you don’t commit sins and don’t make mistakes, Allāh ﷻ will create other people and they will make mistakes. They will ask for forgiveness and He ﷻ will forgive them. Therefore, this is a great good tidings for us.
The pleasure of Allāh ﷻ – Repenting more for every action we do and asking for forgiveness for what we do so that He ﷻ forgives our mistakes brings us His ﷻ pleasure. That is easy.
Some people force others to do deeds [of worship]. Certainly, everyone does them, shukr to Allāh ﷻ. There are many people who do these deeds, but what we do has no value. We must know this too. What we do is nothing in front of the forgiveness of Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla. It is nothing. It’s not even the smallest thing. If you assume you are doing something worthy and value it, then you are mistaken. Everything we do is with shortcomings. We need forgiveness. We need the forgiveness of Allāh ﷻ. You must know this. Then, you attain the pleasure of Allāh ﷻ. May Allāh ﷻ be pleased with all of us insha’Allah. May we attain His ﷻ pleasure.
Wa min Allah at-Tawfiq. Al-Fatiha.
