The life of our Holy Prophet ﷺ is an example for us, Shukr to Allah ﷻ. Everything he ﷺ did is beneficial to people, to all humanity. The order and system he brought is in order to raise people, not to stay as they are but for them to grow, to be Insan ul-Kamil, A perfect human.
People of the present time are not perfect; they are out of humanity. People in the time of our Holy Prophet ﷺ were in the age of Jahiliyyah, ignorance. Jahiliyyah means people who don’t know anything. And we are living in the second age of Jahiliyyah now.
People of olden times had belief before. Now, they [people today] are even worse. They had humility [shamefulness] before. And now people have no shame at all, they are trying everything to be out of humanity.
Our Holy Prophet ﷺ says that good manners and good works suit people. He ﷺ strived so that they have a good life here and eternal happiness hereafter.
In the beginning, he ﷺ started inviting people [to Islam] while in Mecca. But ignorant people chose to obey their egos and did not follow him ﷺ. And when he ﷺ became a conqueror, everyone saw the truth and started following the truth.
But people of the present time neither see the truth, nor do they want to see it. They don’t want to follow the way of truth. They want to follow their egos. Those who follow their egos never win, never benefit. They get nothing but harm.
Therefore, we should follow the way of our Holy Prophet ﷺ. The more you follow it [sunnah], the better it is for you. The less you follow it, the less benefit you get. The more you follow hisﷺ way, the more benefit you get. And benefit is profit.
Certainly, it will bring you salvation. People assume they are just living without thinking about salvation. Actually, the goal is to be saved from hell in the afterlife. There is either paradise or hell in Akhirah. Those who follow the way of our Holy Prophet ﷺ, even if just a little will be saved from hell. This is the main point.
May Allah ﷻ not deprive us from this way and give guidance to people.
Our Holy Prophet ﷺ came as Mercy to people. He doesn’t ask for anything. He gets happy when people follow the right way and gets saddened when they don’t follow it. May we keep going on this way of light insha’Allah.
