Don’t Listen to the Barking of the Ignorant

Bismi Llāhi r-Raḥmāni r-Raḥīm

Our Prophet ṣallá Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam says, “Knowledge will vanish in the end of times.” How will it happen?

Good scholars will vanish, and ignorant people will speak in their place, leading people away from religion and the right way. We are living in that time now.

They put a head-covering on their heads and grow a beard. They go on insulting the great scholars, the great imams, and those who have brought the religion and this beautiful way until this time.

They curse them. They do not accept what they say. All they speak is empty talk. They talk and talk. They teach people, not guidance, but misguidance and ignorance.

Therefore, it is best not to listen to such people. Beware of opening and listening. If you listen to them and ask what they say, it will cause sickness and doubt to enter your heart, weakening your īmān.

Weakening īmān is the worst thing. Because īmān is a precious jewel. We must not lose it. These people we speak of lack īmān. They have Islām, but not īmān. Īmān is a great rank. We must pay attention to it.

There’s no need to talk to those people, no need to listen to them, no need to pass by them. Ḥāshā mina l-ḥuḍūr (saving your presence); let them bark as much as they want; nothing else.

Because those who criticize and curse scholars, imāms of madhhab and imāms of itiqād do nothing but bark. But if you listen to them, you’ll start barking too; may Allāh ﷻ protect you.

This is exactly the time of fitnah. “What is this man saying? Is he right?” It’s not easy to have īmān anyway. Beware, don’t lose it. Don’t go to the edge of such a cliff.

Our Prophet ṣallá Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam says, do not throw yourselves into danger. The greatest danger is losing your īmān. May Allāh ﷻ protect us.

There is much fitnah and corruption. There are many ignorant people. There are many people who don’t even know themselves. It’s not good to deal with those people. It’s not good to listen to them. It’s not good to look at them.

As we said, the opportunity is theirs, in their hands. In the past, if three or five people spoke in one place, no one else would know. Now, they’re everywhere, holding a microphone, appearing in front of a camera, and then spreading that filth and dirt everywhere with this equipment and machine.

May Allāh ﷻ protect us from the evil of shayṭān, from the evil of these people. These people are worse than shayṭān. He is poor next to them.

May Allāh ﷻ protect us from their evil. May the Ummah Muhammadiyyah not go astray from the right way. Wa min Allah at-Tawfiq.

Al-Fatiha.
