Be with the Sādiqīn

Bismi Llāhi r-Raḥmāni r-Raḥīm

يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا اتَّقُوا اللَّهَ وَكُونُوا مَعَ الصَّادِقِينَ

(Qur’ān 09:119)

“Yā ‘Ayyuhā l-Ladhīna ‘Āmanū t-Taqū l-Llaha Wa Kūnū Ma’a s-Sādiqīn”

“O you who have believed, fear Allah and be with the truthful.” Ṣadaqa Llāhu l-‘Aẓīm.

Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla’s advice to us: be with the Sādiq (truthful). Who is the Sādiq? The one who follows the prophets and goes on their way. They are the truthful. Our Holy ‎Prophet’s ﷺ closest friend and companion, Sayyidina Abū Bakr aṣ-Ṣiddīq. Why is he called Ṣiddīq? Because he is extremely truthful.

Therefore, the more truthful you are in this way, the more Allāh ﷻ opens your heart, you will be of nūr (enlightened). You will be valued and respected among people. You will rise in rank in the sight of Allāh ﷻ.

Rising in rank in the presence of Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla is the most important thing for a person. Worldly ranks remain in this world. One must rise in the ranks of ākhirah with the ranks of dunyā with Allāh’s ﷻ permission. This is what’s important.

What’s important is not dunyā, but of course in dunyā, ‘إِنَّمَا يَخْشَى اللَّهَ مِنْ عِبَادِهِ الْعُلَمَاءُ’, ‘Innamā Yakhshá Allāha Min Ibādihi Al-Ulamā’u’, ‘Only those fear Allah, from among His servants, who have knowledge.’ (Qur’ān 35:28). Ṣadaqa Llāhu l-‘Aẓīm. Scholars fear Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla the most. They do what Allāh ﷻ says. And that is not granted to everyone.

He ﷻ has given knowledge to everyone according to their ranks. Good scholars are the beloved servants of Allāh ﷻ. Their way is a beautiful way. There are bad scholars and good scholars. A good scholar is granted of rewards and beneficence from Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla twice what a normal person is granted.

Therefore, that way, the way of Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla is always the way of goodness, profit and happiness for all. May Allāh ﷻ grant us all to walk on that way. May He ﷻ make us steadfast to not go astray, in shā’a Llāh, with Allāh’s ﷻ permission, grace and protection in shā’a Llāh. Because when a person is left to his ego, he follows his ego and goes astray. The more he controls his ego, the more he remains steadfast.

May Allāh ﷻ help us. May Allāh ﷻ protect us, in shā’a Llāh. Wa min Allah at-Tawfiq.

Al-Fatiha.
